Anybody who has done some MFL studies at school can translate texts with the help of a good dictionary So why would I come to you ?
To translate –if one wants it done properly- is more a matter of understanding a document with its messages and its goals.
It’s more a matter of using practical skills and practical knowledge about the kind of people the document is aimed at, with their culture, their level of language, their references…
If I use a translation device provided by a web search engine, the job is done instantly and for free. So why would I come to you ?
What’s more, it will not offer you the best syntax possible (see above)
A good human translator will think and bring you more than an anonymous database.
In short, a good human translator will bring you more than just words.
Translations
I only have a couple of pages that need to be translated. Is it worth it to come to you?
If you are checking this website, it means that your document and its future translation are important to you.
Whatever your document may be (leaflet, admin doc, restaurant menu or other…), I give you my word to work on it with all the care and attention possible, so you would be fully satisfied with it.
As far as I’m concerned, there is no difference between a big text or a small text. All documents are important. That is how I consider my job as a translator and working for people.
I’d like the translations I asked for to be done within a very short time. Is it possible for you?
Your translations will be done as soon as possible, within the shortest period of time I can manage. However, we have to take into considerations other works that would be under way at the time of your request.
For information, I use the speech recognition software Dragon Naturally Speaking® in a bid to make you benefit from a quicker and more efficient work.
Could I get a discount?
If the workload you want translate is of an important size, or if you become a regular client (7 works a year, or more), you will get a discount or a sliding scale of charges ipso facto.

English lessons
I would like to improve my English but I feel intimidated.
Your reaction is completely natural and logical in that situation.
Do not worry. Be sure that I will use my teaching experience of almost 10 years (whether it has been for adults, youngsters or students, whether it has been in a classroom, or for remedial courses, extra teaching, proficiency courses, specific conversation / key phrases…). I will do what is necessary to identify your needs and answer to them the best way I can, with you, at the pace that suits you.
Can you assure me that my English will get better with your lessons ?
Obviously, I cannot guarantee that 100%. But what I can assure you is that I will do everything I can to meet your needs regarding your English.
We will work together, as a team, in a way that is appropriate to your level and needs.
I wish to add that, for all the years I worked as a teacher for private lessons, all the learners –adults or younger people- I worked with found themselves reassured, more confident, more motivated, better prepared and improved the English quite a lot.
Your progresses will be a real satisfaction for me as well. Together, you and I will succeed in making your English much better.
